Range & Status
A widespread but local species in England and Wales. Males and females run on wet stones exposed in gravelly streambeds and fly between them and the banks. Also found at the sandy margins of pools. The recent shortage of records suggests that the status of this species should be revised. There are only three post-1990 sites in Cornwall: Kennack Sands (2005), Loe Bar (2004) and Pendower Beach (1991).
