Range & Status
This species is associated with heather on heathland areas. A heather specialist which flies in late summer when the heather is in bloom. Recently (July 2003) recorded on Tresco, Isles of Scilly. The strongholds of this species are the heaths of Dorset, Sussex and Hampshire, the records from the Isles of Scilly represent a disjunct population.
