Range & Status

An epiphytic alga forming small spots on the blades of Palmaria palmata and Laminaria saccharina (now known as Saccharina latissima (Linnaeus) C.E. Lane, C. Mayes, Druehl & G.W. Saunders) in the lower intertidal and shallow subtidal zones. Very few British records for this summer annual which may be under-recorded.
