b> Range & Status

A lichenicolous fungus commensalistic or parasitic on the lichen Phaeographis dendritica , mainly in ancient woodland. Southern England (Hampshire, Devon, Sussex and Cornwall), south-west Ireland (Cork). Recently found to be quite frequent in the Falmouth \endash Mawnan Smith area and Godolphin Estate (both VC1), and at Lanhydrock (VC2). These sites represent the best populations outside of the New Forest.
