Range & Status
First collected by dredging off the Lizard coast in December 1864 and subsequently until 1884. In 1981 it was found by scuba divers to be rare or occasional, attached to stones in sand, in the tidal sound off the Isles of Scilly (Hiscock, 1984) - in one site it was present in large amounts. At least three sites have been identified in the Isles of Scilly.
