Hypopitys monotropa - Yellow Bird's-nest



Range & Status

Native. Circumpolar Temperate species. Mostly found in southern England and Wales and scattered across Ireland.

Regional Distribution

Historic records from near Baripper (SW63) and Baldhu (SW74). A possible introduction.

Habitat & Ecology

Normally a plant of calcareous woodland or dune-slacks. In Cornwall it has been found in a garden at Baripper and a conifer plantation by Baldhu churchyard.

Unknown.
