Range & Status

Found around most of the British Isles; south-western and western coasts north to

Shetland, also northern and western Irish coasts. A few records for north east England. On algae and Eelgrass Zostera spp. in the lower intertidal and shallow sublittoral. In some years it is extremely common in the Falmouth Bay area. This species is on the UK List of Priority Species.
