Range & Status

Recorded from the Plymouth area and the Firth of Clyde. A single record from the

Plymouth area for this rarely recorded species places it possibly within Cornish waters. A benthic species, a moderate sized worm up to 50mm length found in the gill chambers of a common hermit crab Pagurus bernhardus , and in association with other crab species in French waters (George & Hartmann-Schr\'f6der, 1985).
