Neanthes irrorata



Range & Status

Syn. Nereis irrorata . Found on south-west coasts of Britain (Hayward & Ryland, 1990); recorded from Helford estuary, Isles of Scilly, Mount Edgcumbe and also the south coast of Wales. A benthic species, eulittoral and sublittoral; a long tapering worm of 200-300mm, found amongst Eelgrass Zostera spp., in coarse gravel, rock crevices and under stones.
