Andrena fulvago - A solitary mining bee



Range & Status

A widely recorded species in southern England from west Cornwall to east Kent and

north to Gloucestershire, Berkshire, Bedfordshire and Suffolk. Mainly a coastal species where it favours cliffs, landslips and adjacent grassland in warm, sunny conditions where small yellow composites grow in abundance. There are at least 10 post-1980 sites for this species.
