Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Rubus britannicus

In 1996 R. britannicus was discovered growing on the St. Austell Moors, where it was found to be frequent (SW95S & SW95X, R.W.Gould). It has proved to be dominant in woods near St. Ives (SW53I, 1998, R.W.Gould), near Tregony (SW94B, 1998, R.W.Gould) and in Kingswood, south of St. Austell (SX04E, 1998, R.W.Gould).
