Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Silene dichotoma - Forked Catchfly

Forked Catchfly has not been seen since the beginning of the 20th century, when it may have arrived with agricultural or bird seed. It was recorded in Penzance (SW43Q, 1888, W.A.Glasson), Point Mills, Bissoe (SW74Q, 1902, F.H.Davey), Engelly, Perranzabuloe (SW85B, 1906, W.Tresidder) and at Par (SX05R, 1908, C.C.Vigurs).
