Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Rumex hydrolapathum - Water Dock

In Cornwall Rumex hydrolapathum is a rare coastal marshland dock which has disappeared from most of its old sites and is only known to persist at Gunwalloe Marshes (SW62Q), Swanpool (SW73V), at Holywell (SW75U, 1997, D.T.Holyoak), by the lake on Par beach (SX05W, 1998, I.J.Bennallick) and in the Seaton Valley (SX35C, 1998, A.Spalding). It is no longer present on Scilly.
