Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Salix x multinervis - Salix cinerea x aurita

The parents for Salix x multinervis are S. cinerea and S. aurita . It is probably more frequent than the known records suggest. Recent finds include Carnsew Reservoir, Hayle (SW53N, 1980, R.J.Murphy), Stithians Reservoir (SW73D, 1989, K.L.Spurgin), near the Isle of Wight on the Lizard (SW61Y, 1996, C.N.French), Gaverigan (SW95J, 1995, R.J.Murphy) and near Grey Mare crossroads (SX16H, 1990, M.Atkinson).
