Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Utricularia australis - Western Bladderwort

Bladderwort is no longer present in West Cornwall. It is mainly restricted to a small area in East Cornwall centred on Goss Moor (SW96). Recent management of Marazion Marsh (SW53A) by the RSPB may encourage its return to that site. The recent records are St. Dennis Junction (SW95J, 1990, R.M.Belringer), Goss Moor (SW96K, 1996, I.J.Bennallick), south west of Tregoss (SW96Q, 1996, I.J.Bennallick) and Breney Common (SX06K, 1996, M.Atkinson).
