Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Verbascum blattaria - Moth Mullein

Moth Mullein is an established, though often intermittent, garden escape which can sometimes be found in great abundance. It is found on waste ground as on the railway gravels at St. Dennis Junction (SW95J, 1996, I.J.Bennallick), in and around Newquay (SW86A, 1997, H.M.Meredith), the Wadebridge bypass (SW97W, 1998, C.N.French) and on Tresco (SV81X, 1992, A.Underhill).
