Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Viola odorata var. dumetorum - White Violet

The white-flowered variety of Sweet Violet is well naturalised as a garden escape on road verges, woodland margins and waste places. Recent records include Treviades (SW72P, 1992, C.N.French), Trenarren (SX04J, 1992, R.E.Lees), near Demelza (SW96R, 1998, I.J.Bennallick), St. Erney (SX35U, 1992, R.W.Gould) and Splatt (SX28J, 1997, M.Atkinson).
