Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Salix x fruticosa - Shrubby Osier

i> Salix x fruticosa is the hybrid between S. aurita and S. viminalis . There are few records, which may reflect the fact that the parents rarely grow together. It was reported near Penweathers (SW84B, 1909, G.C.Druce), Trerice Mill (SW85I, 1909, C.C.Vigurs) and Menadue, near Rame (SW73, before 1980, L.J.Margetts).
