The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Oenothera stricta - Fragrant Evening-primrose

i> Oenothera stricta is a Red Data Book plant which can still be found at Coverack (SW71Z, 1982, R.W. David) and Perranporth (SW75M, 1998, P.A. Gainey). Other recent records are at Binner Downs (SW63C, 1998, E.C.M. Haes), on waste ground by the A30 near Goss Moor (SW96Q, 1994, I.J. Bennallick), a roadside at Portquin (SW98Q, 1994, C.H. Watts) and sandy slopes at Bude (SS20D, 1996, J.C. Bowra).
