Flora of Cornwall (1999)

The descriptive text, below the map, is from the Flora of Cornwall (1999), which was a Tetrad Atlas (the maps had 2km square dots or Tetrads). The map on this web page depicts the plant's distribution at the 1km square scale and shows the records made pre-2000 which were used in the 1999 Flora and those made since.

Rubus nessensis

Woodland habitats seem to be preferred by this bramble and consequently it appears to be much more frequent in East Cornwall. Sites include Rose Wood (SX36R, 1993, R.J.Murphy), Parsonage Wood (SX16J, 1994, R.J.Murphy), Harewood (SX46P, 1994, R.J.Murphy), Lydcott Wood (SX25Z, 1995, R.W.Gould), Bishop's and Hustyn Wood (SX06E, 1990, R.J.Murphy) and St. Clement Wood, Idless (SW84J, 1985, L.J.Margetts).
